Spinning (or, rather, not spinning!)

The observant among you will have noticed that I mentioned dusting off my spinning wheel in an earlier post. In case you thought I was kidding, here is my wheel just as it came out of the spare bedroom.... (!!)

My sewing machine gets like that these days. At least it has a sturdy case to keep the actual machine clean.

I'm still pondering getting a wheel and learning to spin. I think I save that one for when I have a bit more time... does that ever happen?

Definitely learn to spin even if you don't do a lot of it. It's very therapeutic and gives you an understanding of yarn which you just can't get any other way. Okay, so it also opens the door to a whole new world of stash accumulation. Fleece and silk is even more hard to resist than yarn : )
